| During the past two years, Susan has spun her magic in our home several times. The first go-round, I was looking to spruce up our family room and kitchen; two rooms that are essentially connected. One week later we had a transformed, designer living space. Susan’s ability to match newly purchased “affordable finds” with our existing pictures and built-ins was amazing. She resurrected a 30-year old oak table through a refinish and paint job that made the once dated piece the kitchen area’s focal point. Both my husband and I commented that despite living in the house for 8 years, it finally looked and felt like home.
Just recently I called Susan because we needed a talented expert to stage our house before it hit the sales market. Once again, Susan was able to find that delicate balance of cost and design. The kitchen and family room did not need much attention, but none of the other rooms went untouched. The re-arrangement of furniture combined with the addition of “the perfect” paintings/pictures in our three kids’ rooms transformed the rooms from “sort of cute” to “adorable”. An office/loft that was once an eye sore became a fashionable sitting room. While an uninspired set of bathrooms received a shot of fashion for the first time. The proof of Susan’s skill was evident in the comments of friends, family, and real estate agents – all of whom commented on how well the house showed. We had multiple offers within a week!
In the future, whether I need some minor design consultation or a total house makeover….I have Susan on speed dial!

I first discovered Susan Wintersteen by her work she had done with my sister-in-law. Each time that I visited her, I saw the incredible transformations Susan had made to her home.
Two years later, I was moving back to San Diego and contacted Susan. While I was still living on the east coast, Susan helped me decorate my home. She sent flooring and paint samples to my home in Maryland. I loved the samples she had chosen and her ideas were fantastic.
On the day that I moved in to my home, my floors were done and my walls were painted. Since then, Susan has continued to do a magnificent job making our home look like a model. The floors are fabulous! Scott and I really enjoyed working with your tile installer Kerry and the rest of your team. When we were facing rebuilding our house after the fires, we were quickly overwhelmed with all of the choices and decision that had to be made. Your guidance and design expertise was invaluable. You made the process a whole lot easier for us.
The cleaning crew came out this week-end and the house really looked great. We had champagne with our neighbors and truly felt like we were home again after the fires.I can’t wait for the carpet to be installed, the colors you helped us select have turned out great and I know the carpet will be the final touch.

| Susan has helped me decorate two homes. She played a key role in designing the remodeling of my first home. She suggested that we remove several walls to open up the space. She designed the renovation of the master bathroom. She skillfully selected a combination of granite and travertine stone that made the bathroom fell like an entirely different space. Susan helped me choose paint colors and found just the right furniture to fit difficult spaces.
